Education Camps and Clubs

Turn your child’s days off from school into an exciting educational adventure by signing them up for any of our fun-filled day or week-long camps. Design, Make, Play Innovation Camps are designed to explore concepts in science, technology, engineering and math, build problem solving and communication skills, and inspire the next generation of innovators. Each camp includes interactive activities, exhibit exploration, a student certificate of completion and a free six-month student membership. A mid-morning snack is provided.

Innovation Camp: Animal Discovery and Design

August 14 – 18  2023; 9 am – 3 pm 

 

Campers will engage in hands-on activities that demonstrate amazing animal adaptations found
in insects, reptiles, mammals, and birds. Then they will apply that knowledge to solve a series of
design challenges that will help an animal or inspire a new invention. They can design
prosthetics to help an injured bird, create a prototype for a new paragliding suit or build a
better spider web. Live creatures will be featured including Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches! 

Ages 6-7. Advance registration is required.

$450 (Members: $425)

August 14 – 18  2023; 9 am – 3 pm 

 

Campers will engage in playful activities and games that will boost their problem solving and
math skills to the next level. Discover how to use angles to create amazing works of art, utilizing
sleuthing techniques to solve mysteries or identify patterns to win a logic game. Combine your
creativity and problem solving skills to design games that will amaze your family and friends.

Ages 8-9. Advance registration is required.
